North Africa, 1942. You lead a three-jeep patrol across the sand sea by night, twin Vickers K guns bolted to every mount. 2 Troop and 3 Troop hold station off your flanks and engage on their own. Five historical operations, from Tamet in December 1941 to Barce in September 1942, then endless patrols against the unnamed landing grounds beyond them — every one of them has until first light to burn the Luftwaffe on the ground and vanish into the desert.
Burn the parked aircraft, or the fuel park, or a supply column, or the signals masts — the orders change. Bowsers go up big; use them.
Sweeping searchlights, flak pits and patrol trucks. Get caught in a beam and the whole field wakes up — shoot the lamps out.
Five historical airfields, then unnamed landing grounds without end. Between each one you leaguer up and draw an item from the supply dump.
Sound is synthesised in-browser and starts on your first input. Inspired by the real 1942 SAS jeep raids on Axis airfields at Sidi Haneish, Bagoush and Fuka.
The LRDG rendezvous can only spare one load before you move on.
Tamet was the proving raid. Four more airfields wait — Bagoush, Fuka, Sidi Haneish and Barce — each bigger, better defended and shorter on darkness than the last.
The desert keeps its own time. Take a breath.
